Shintiara is a math educator and an Academic Intervention Specialist. She brings over 22 years of tutoring experience and 20 years in the education field to Archimedes Academics. She began her career as a tutor and mentor before serving as a paraeducator, substitute teacher (K–12), preschool teacher (ages 3–5), and now as a high school Geometry teacher supporting students in small-group and co-taught settings.
Throughout her career, Shintiara has worked with learners across the lifespan — from children as young as six weeks old to adult learners, including teaching a 48-year-old student how to read. These diverse experiences have shaped her belief that every student can grow with the right structure, strategy, and encouragement.
She specializes in Algebra I, Geometry, Advanced Mathematical Decision Making, and test preparation. Her instructional approach blends explicit teaching, culturally responsive practices, executive functioning support, and confidence-building strategies tailored to each learner.
Shintiara is passionate about meeting students where they are, strengthening foundational skills, and empowering them to build both academic confidence and long-term independence. She is available in-person.
